How to Treat Acne
Wonderful Products and ways to Treat your stubborn Acne.
1. Apple Cider Vinegar.
Apple cider vinegar is a great remedy for the ones with oily skin. It kill the acne-causing bacteria, balances the ph of the skin, lightens acne scars, and reduces acne breakouts when used as a part of daily skincare routine. You can use any brand apple cider vinegar labeled with Mother. Some of the brands are Healthvit, Braggs, etc.
How to use ACV on the skin :
- Mix 1 part of apple cider vinegar with 1 part of water(Use more
for sensitive skin).
- After washing the face, apply the mixture gently on your face
with a cotton ball.
- Let it dry then you can apply any aloe vera gel or good
moisturizer on your face.
- Repeat this process 1-2 times a day.
Note: Applying concentrated ACV can cause burn and skin irritation. Make sure you are diluting ACV according to your skin's sensitivity.
2. Tea Tree Oil.
Tea tree oil is popular for treating acne and scars because of its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.
How to put in Tea tree oil on your face :
Mix 2 drops of tea tree oil with 10-12 drops of carrier oil.
You can use jojoba oil, Maracuja oil as your carrier
oil.
Before applying the mixture, wash your face and pat it
dry.
Apply the mixture with your fingertips or cotton ball on your
acne and blemishes.
Let it dry then follow up with your moisturizer.

3. Salicylic Acid.
Salicylic acid is beta-hydroxy acid and used to reduce acne by exfoliating your skin. Salicylic acid penetrates into your skin and works to remove dead skin cells clogging your pores. Salicylic acid comes in a variety of over the counter products.
4. Jojoba oil.
Jojoba oil mimics the natural sebum and does not let bad bacteria grow and yet it does not kill the good bacteria on your skin. It moisturizes your skin, promotes collagen in your skin, has antimicrobial properties, and is non-comedogenic which means it does not clog your pores. Jojoba oil contains Vitamin E which is antioxidant which helps to fight oxidative stress caused by exposure of skin to pollutants and other toxins. Some popular brands are Nykka Naturals, GoodVibes, etc.You can also use jojoba oil mixed with your daily night cream or moisturizer.
Vitamin C also known as ascorbic acid is a water-soluble
vitamin Since your body does not produce it so you have to take it
through your diets. Vitamin C functions as anti-oxidant which protects
your skin from free radical damage. Vitamin C is used in a variety of
products such as serums, moisturizers, and creams.
Note: High intake of foods rich in Vitamin C may help in various skin conditions but no research ties dietary vitamin C to reduced acne levels However topical applications may be helpful.
Vitamin C serums may reduce acne inflammation. It also hydrates, brightens, reduces redness, and even out your skin tone. Vitamin C serums are well known for collagen production, help in fade hyperpigmentation, and reduces the appearance of under-eye circles. Using Vitamin c-infused products during the day may risk you to photosensitivity so it is recommended to use it in the night. By doing so, you are avoiding the risk of photosensitivity also giving your vitamin c to work better on your skin.

6. Reduce dairy intake.
Some research has shown drinking milk and consuming dairy products may cause hormonal changes and lead to acne. So limiting the intake may turn out to be a good idea for the people with acne-prone skin. Since everyone's skin is different so not everyone who drinks a lot of milk breaks out in pimples.
7. Rosehip oil.
Rosehip seel oil is an essential oil that is extracted from the seeds
of Rosebush. Rosehip oil is popularly recommended for treating acne as well as other skin conditions such as dryness, old acne scars, blemishes, and pimples.
Rosehip oil contains levels of tretinoin, a vitamin A acid that retinol
converts to. Research on rosehip oil has shown that it reduces skin pigmentation, reduces discoloration, acne lesions, scars, and
stretch marks, as well as retaining the moisture of the skin and delaying
the appearance of wrinkles.

8. Retinol Serum.
Retinol is a derivative of Vitamin A. Retinols are great for acne treatment, especially for mature skin or adult acne. It helps with acne scars, blemishes, fine lines, and wrinkles. It goes through multiple layers of skin all the way to the bottom dermis where it stimulates collagen production and elastin production which is why it is good for people with scars or mature skin but it can cause photosensitivity meaning sensitivity to light so make sure you do not use it during the day or better be using sunscreen.

9. Toner.
Skin Toner works great for acne-prone skin. Toners can help improve breakouts, balance ph of your skin, remove traces of dirt, makeup, cleanser residue, and excess oil. Toners are liquid solutions that are applied to the skin after cleansing with facewash and before moisturizer which helps control acne. Apple Cider Vinegar when diluted can also be used as a toner.
